Most businesses do not need another system. They need the four they already own to stop being four, so the same number is not typed into each of them by a person who occasionally mistypes it.

When this is the right call

- Your quoting, accounting, field app and store are each fine on their own and none of them know about the others.
- A product you rely on has an API, and nobody has ever had the time to use it.
And when it is not
If it happens twice a month and takes ten minutes, keep doing it by hand. If Zapier or Make already does it, buy that, and I will set it up in an afternoon rather than sell you a build. Integration earns its cost on volume, or on the errors the re-keying causes, and if neither is true it is a tidiness project.
