## Most businesses run on more manual work than they need to.

In the last 2 years AI has widened what software can take over, from reading documents to drafting the reply. We build the systems that do that work, one engineer from the brief to production, so your time goes to the parts of the business only you can do.

The 3 we are asked for most. All 10 are on the services page, each with what you get and when it is not the right choice.

## How it runs.

Every engagement takes the same 4 steps, and the first 2 are built to let you stop.

1. **The brief**: 2 business days

Tell us what you are building. The engineer who would build it reads it and answers within 2 business days: a fit, or a clear no with the reason.

2. **Discovery**: 1 week · $4,500 CAD, credited in full against the build

Not a build. We follow one piece of real work through the business and write down what we find: a systems map, a written scope and a fixed price. Yours to keep, whoever builds it.

3. **The build**: Weeks per phase

A working demo every week, so a week that produced nothing shows up that week. Decisions in writing the day they are made. Paid by phase, for work you have watched running.

4. **Handover**: Yours from the first commit

The repository, the documentation and the running infrastructure, in your own accounts. Leave at any time and take everything with you.

If the discovery week was not worth its fee, say so on the last day and you do not pay it.

You keep the systems map and the scope either way. One engineer from the first conversation to production, with no account manager in between: you always know who wrote it, and you can ask them why.

Who builds it

## Cristian Penarrieta

**20 years of software, most of it for Silicon Valley companies.** The person who reads your brief is the person who writes the code, and there is nobody in between.

[About Cristian](https://316software.com/about)

English or Spanish. Greater Vancouver, British Columbia.

## Common questions.

- **What does it cost to start?** A 1-week discovery at $4,500 CAD, credited in full against the build. If the discovery week was not worth its fee, say so on the last day and you do not pay it.

- **How much will the build cost?** It is quoted after discovery, as a fixed fee for what you decide to build, and paid by phase for work you have watched running. A price given before anyone has looked at the work is either padded or wrong.

- **Who owns the code?** You do, from the first commit: the repository, the accounts and the data. Leave at any time and take everything with you.

- **Who will I work with?** One engineer, Cristian Penarrieta, from the first conversation to production. The person who reads your brief is the person who writes the code, with no account manager in between.

- **How soon will I hear back?** Within 2 business days: a yes, or a clear no with the reason.

- **Is my project too small?** Small is fine. One process, one integration, one screen. If it can be built, ask.

- **When is 316Software the wrong choice?** When the work needs 5 engineers by Monday, on-call cover around the clock from day one, or a supplier large enough to pass a procurement review. Say so in the first email and you get a straight answer rather than a proposal.

- **Where are you, and in which languages?** Greater Vancouver, British Columbia. Work happens in English or Spanish.
